Flexible Waterproofing Membrane
Alasta Seal — Flexible Membrane for RV & Camper Roofs
A flexible polyurea/polyurethane sealant engineered to move with your roof through thousands of temperature cycles — without cracking, peeling, or lifting. Bonds to EPDM, TPO, fiberglass, and aluminum. Available as white or clear. Also sold as WatchGuard RV.
Who Uses Alasta Seal
Stop the Leak Without Replacing the Roof
RV roof failures are rarely a substrate problem — they're a seam, sealer, and coating problem. Alasta Seal's flexible polyurea chemistry bridges cracks, bonds across dissimilar substrates, and moves with the roof through the extreme heating and cooling cycles that RVs and campers experience.
A full roof replacement on a Class A motorhome or fifth wheel can run $3,000–$8,000 or more. Alasta Seal gives RV owners, service shops, and fleet operators a faster, more economical solution — applied in a single day with no heavy equipment required.
Seal aging EPDM, TPO, and fiberglass roofs before leaks become water damage inside the coach.
Add a high-value roof restoration service without specialized spray equipment — Alasta Seal applies with standard tools.
Pre-delivery roof coatings and warranty repair — an Alasta Seal coating ships with the unit and demonstrates quality.
Keep work trucks, cargo trailers, and specialty vehicles watertight across large fleets — consistent product, fast application.
Boat canvas, bimini tops, and marine decks benefit from the same flexible waterproofing chemistry.
Applications
Wherever a Roof Leaks, Alasta Seal Works
Flexible polyurea chemistry bonds to virtually any roofing substrate — no substrate-specific primer switching required across most applications.
Class A, B, and C motorhomes — covers EPDM, TPO, and fiberglass roofs with a seamless membrane that spans seams, vents, and roof fixtures without bridging tape.
Truck campers and pop-up campers take more flex stress than any other RV type. Alasta Seal's elongation handles the constant rack and twist without cracking.
Fifth wheels and conventional travel trailers accumulate roof leaks at the front cap seam and slide-out seals. Alasta Seal seals these failure points in one application.
Bimini tops, canvas covers, and marine decks benefit from the same UV-stable, flexible membrane — stays pliable in the constant sun and salt exposure of marine environments.
Waterproofing transitions, foundation flashings, and penetration seals. Flexible polyurea accommodates substrate movement without the cracking that plagues rigid sealants.
Seal decorative ponds, water features, and retention basins. Contact Oak Ridge for NSF-rated formulations appropriate for potable or fish-safe contact applications.
Technical Properties
Engineered Flexibility — Not Just a Sealant
Alasta Seal's performance properties are what separate it from latex roof coatings and low-elongation sealants that fail within a few seasons.

Application Process
Three Steps. One Day. Watertight Roof.
Unlike spray-applied polyurea systems that require expensive plural-component equipment, Alasta Seal is designed for practical field application — roll, brush, or low-pressure spray with standard equipment already in most shops.
Remove all dirt, chalk, loose coating, and oxidation. Clean with appropriate solvent or detergent wash. Allow to dry fully. A clean substrate is the single largest determinant of long-term adhesion — don't rush this step.
Most porous and semi-porous substrates can be topcoated directly. For aluminum, aged EPDM, or surfaces with prior silicone contamination, apply the recommended primer and allow to flash before proceeding. Contact Oak Ridge technical support if you're unsure — we can walk you through it.
Apply by brush, roller, or spray in uniform passes to the recommended wet film thickness. Work from the center out to edges and around all penetrations. Allow to cure per TDS conditions before exposure to rain or foot traffic. Full cure is typically achieved within 24 hours under standard conditions.
