Methyl Ethyl Ketone (MEK) is the standard fast-evaporating solvent for flushing plural-component lines, guns, and transfer pumps, and for removing uncured polyurea, polyurethane, and primer from tools and substrates.
Always flush before material cures — cured polyurea and urethane are solvent resistant. Review the SDS before use: MEK is flammable and requires ventilation and appropriate PPE.
