Polyurea roof coating · For contractors

Coat it now, or chase leaks all winter.

Water gets into a seam, freezes and expands. By January that hairline crack is a ceiling stain. Seamless pure polyurea stays flexible through freeze-thaw, and you still have weeks to get it on.

  • OR 80SLM pure polyurea roof membrane and OR 90WPM waterproofing membrane, by the kit or the drum.
  • Tack-free in 10–20 seconds. 400% elongation. Miami-Dade tested, UL 2218 Class 4 hail rating.
  • Primer matched to your deck, coverage worked out, TDS and SDS with every quote.

A coating has to move with the deck, or it cracks with it.

  1. 1Water gets into a seam, a fastener hole or a hairline crack in the old coating.
  2. 2It freezes and expands, and the deck shrinks in the cold at the same time.
  3. 3A rigid coating cracks. Every thaw lets in more water, and every freeze opens the crack wider.

Pure polyurea stretches to four times its length before it breaks, so it rides out the movement instead of splitting along it. It also sets in seconds, so you are not waiting on a warm dry day for it to cure.

Details

OR 811 and OR 7001 primers

OR 811 penetrates concrete and porous decks. OR 7001 bonds to rolled roofing, wood and steel and works as a tie coat over an existing coating.

OR 7001 OR 811

OR 60BM brush-on polyurea

Pure polyurea by brush, roller or squeegee for curbs, terminations, penetrations and repairs. No rig to mobilize for the small stuff.

Details

OR 42D aliphatic topcoat

Color-stable polyurea for exposed work where the finish has to hold its color in the sun. Applies down to -20°F.

Details

No plural rig yet?

Polyurea sprays 1:1 at about 160°F and 2,200 psi. We are an authorized Graco distributor and sell Reactor proportioners, guns and heated hose, and we train crews.

Coverage estimate

How much OR 80SLM does the roof need?

Based on the data sheet rate of 80 sq ft per gallon at 20 mils, plus the waste allowance you choose. The quote confirms the final number once we have seen the deck.

How cold is too cold to apply?

Polyurea cures by chemical reaction, not evaporation, so it keeps working after acrylics are done for the season. The limit is usually the primer and the deck: OR 7001 primer needs the substrate above 40°F until it cures, and the deck has to be dry and frost-free. Send us the job location and timing and we will tell you what is realistic.

What equipment do I need?

A 1:1 plural-component proportioner with heated hose, running at about 160°F and 2,200 psi, such as a Graco Reactor. For curbs, penetrations and repairs, OR 60BM goes on by brush or roller with no rig at all.

Does it go over the existing roof?

On most low-slope metal, built-up, single-ply, concrete and spray foam roofs, yes, with the right prep and primer. Steep-slope shingle roofs are usually not a good candidate. Photos let us tell you honestly before you buy anything.

Do you sell kits or only drums?

Both. Drum sets for production work and kits for smaller roofs and detail work. The quote tells you which fits the job.

How fast does it ship, and is there a minimum?

Most in-stock material ships within 1–2 business days from Green Lake, Wisconsin. There is no minimum on most in-stock items, and LTL or full truckloads are available for volume buyers.

I own the building. Can you do the work?

Oak Ridge supplies materials and equipment rather than doing the application. Send the roof details anyway and we can point you to contractors who spray our systems.

The coating window closes with the temperature.

Send the roof today and you will have a system and a price while there is still time to put it on.
